    Restaurant week 3 courses at lunchtime. Amazing food quality is the main draw for one of the best restaurants in the North East. 21 is a nice place to eat with a good lunchtime vibe but not feeling excessively busy or crowded. Timely service and a good choice of four options each for starter, main and dessert on the lunch menu at fixed price. Felt very satisfied and somewhat full after salmon starter, cod main and an amazing lemon meringue choice bun for dessert.

    As ever, 21 serves up a quality menu using quality ingredients with portion sizes to match. Service is always top notch, friendly & helpful. Some other restaurants try to cash in during Restaurant Week with substandard menu/ingredients but 21 wants you to know this is their product & they are proud of what they produce. Terry Laybourne, I'm sure, would not have it any other way.

    Every single member of staff we interacted with was polite, friendly & professional, I realise we probably aren’t the normal clientele but we’re made to feel at ease & special throughout the meal . The food was astounding , I can understand why so many people rave about the soufflé - first class , our pork & cod was a very close 2nd. I would definitely recommend 21 to friends & family .
