When it comes to high tea, The Brown Palace is among the first places that comes to mind. This was our 3rd consecutive year attending tea for my daughter's birthday. The Brown Palace was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the pianist was adding holiday music in with his usual songs. The first year we attended, we received stellar service and the food & tea were perfect. Last year, it felt a bit disorganized and, considering we had such a great first experience, we decided that was a one-off situation. This year, however, stayed similar to last year. We did not know who our server was as - at least 5 people came by our table. Despite so many visitors, the serving team forgot our tea, forgot to refill the hot water (which meant our initial tea became too bitter to drink), forgot to bring our second round of sandwiches and forgot to bring us our box. The food was still delicious and the tea selections keep improving, despite the leaky tea pots. I'm honestly unsure if we will go back to The Brown Palace next year or if we will try a new place.

Afternoon tea was lovely! Brown Palace beautifully decorated for Christmas, so festive! Atmosphere was cheery and bright and had all the holiday feels. I had heard that the BP had gone downhill a bit, but that was not at all our experience. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and polite. Our server was wonderful and attentive, and the food was terrific! Added bonus there was a piano player and he was wonderful and made the event even more special! Highly recommend!

While the lobby where they have the afternoon tea is very pretty with Christmas decorations, the food was not special in any way (sandwiches were bland and the sweets much too sweet) all served on tables so small the plates, cups barely fit etc. Being that the whole experience is centered around tea you only get to choose one and if you want more they just bring you more hot water. We were sat down in the corridor next to the reception booth not in the center atrium which was very disappointing and it felt as if those three tables were an after thought. Service was not particularly friendly although they did come around from time to time and refill water and top off the teapot with water. I have been to other teas in Denver for less than the $75 p/p and this felt like we were being ripped off. We left hungry and vowed never to return.

A beautiful way to start the Holiday season and a fun date with my husband. It’s nice to go someplace in Denver where dressing up is the norm.

This is always such a fun experience but it’s become so expensive. $32 to park, $60 for kids 6 and under and $75-$90 for basic adult tea. This has been a tradition in our family forever but it’s gotten to be too much for an hour and a half of fun.

Holiday tea at the Brown Palace is a memorable and fun annual event! The lobby is lovely and the Christmas decorations exquisite. Great thing to do with the girls or mothers/daughters. The teas are amazing. We had the Christmas tea, the Wedding tea and the Paris tea - all interesting and delightful on the palate. The tea sandwiches were good and the scones delicious.

Wonderful holiday tea at the Brown Palace. Gorgeous holiday decor, great service and the tea was delicious, very well done - from the finger sandwiches, desserts and scones, everything was fresh, and so tasty. This will be my new annual tradition, loved it!
