Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
AnQi impresses with its "amazing" food and attentive service. Guests rave about the garlic noodles and signature dishes like the Dungeness crab. The elegant ambiance and creative cocktails enhance the dining experience. While some find the portions small, the "unique fusion" of Asian-American flavors keeps patrons returning.

What an amazing dining experience! From perfect cocktails, to the dumplings and oh my gosh, the steaks! They come out med-rare, sliced, on a sizzling plate so if you prefer it medium or more well-done, you just leave it longer on the plate! The garlic noodles are always the best and the desserts are a perfect way to end the night. Great service, too. Can't wait to return for our anniversary in April!!!

Had a horrible experience because the manager, Yanni, wad rude and dismissive of us. We had a reservation for New Year’s eve, showed up asked if we received a text saying that we needed to pay $120 per person. I said no I hadn’t received a text and they said yeah you were the only person that we forgot to text. I said well we shouldn’t be mandated to spend a certain amount of money when we weren’t told ahead of time, but we probably will be spending all over that. The manager tried to get us to sit at the bar without a full menu as a result, even though we had a reservation. We said no and he said I’ll see what I can do again even though we had a reservation. We were finally sat and we ended up spending $420 for two people, but he never came over to check on us. Wouldn’t even look us in the eye. He is a horrible manager, bad front person for the restaurant. I live five minutes away and have been there many times I will not be growing again. If I want crab and noodles, I will go to crustacean in LA or San Francisco. I do want to say that our server Zach was amazing and the food was great. I just won’t be back because a patron should not be treated that way by a manager of a high-end restaurant, actually any restaurant.

We went to celebrate a birthday and it was a great experience. The drinks had some magic whether fire or a massive air bubble topper. The table side ice cream was delish and made for great group pics! All the food was delish esp the filet mignon shumai (or dumpling?!), the hainan chicken, and the chicken satay were some particular highlights but we loved everything we ordered! The space is gorgeous too and the staff was super nice. We will be back!

Crab was overpriced and under seasoned. Waiter Gordon was rude and inattentive and smirked at me when I asked questions about menu. He then charged us for extra taco and extra ice cream for dessert without asking us if we wanted it. Finally he almost forgot the rice that came with the crab. Overall food was overpriced and not worth it.

We’ve been several times and had great experiences, but this time the food was warm (not hot) which impacted quality & our waiter seemed either disinterested or just didn’t care to check-in on our table often when we needing things. Disappointing night, still a fan.

I’ve been eager to try AnQi for quite some time, and I’m happy to say that our visit lived up to my high expectations. Walking into AnQi is truly a treat for the senses. The interior is a stunning design—a very inviting and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The ambient music was perfectly balanced, adding to the overall experience without overwhelming conversation. The acoustics allowed for a comfortable dining environment. We ate family style and had: Garlic Noodles: These were very flavorful and enjoyable, though the noodles were slightly overcooked. Orange Peel Chicken: This dish was a bit on the basic side but pleasantly balanced and not overly sweet. Mongolian Lamb Chop: Juicy and packed with flavor, this dish was a standout. Kung Pao Eggplant: This was really flavorful with a nice hint of heat. Tombo Tuna Tacos: Essentially sashimi in taco form, these small street tacos were probably my favorite dish of the night. Wok Shaken Beef: While I don’t eat beef, those who did enjoyed it immensely. Peking Roasted Chicken: Unfortunately, this dish was a bit dry and was my least favorite of the evening (I wish it had the standard MSG salt). Warm Beignets: They were delightful, especially with the coffee crème anglaise, which complemented them beautifully. Classic Banana à la Mode: This dessert was decadent, and the brûlée added a lovely texture that made it even more enjoyable. Overall, our experience at AnQi was quite delightful. While the dishes were a tad pricey, and I would have appreciated slightly larger portions—especially for a family-style meal—the inconveniences were minor. A few additional notes: for tables of six or more, a 20% gratuity is automatically added, which was no issue for us. We also had to change our reservation from four to six guests, and the staff accommodated this wonderfully. Arriving early meant we were seated ahead of our reservation time, which was a nice touch; however, we would have been just as happy to have waited at the bar.

Food was overpriced and just okay. Portions are small. Ambience was okay but if you look close enough it’s dusty in some places and seems old. Market price for crab was $100 which our server didn’t inform us of - was not spectacular crab for that price. Highly recommend Paradise Dynasty next door - better food and value.

Food is very simple and generic. I would not recommend this place. The chef is OK. The price is high and the quantities are small. Truly very generic food
