Delightful Sunday evening. Food was very good and wait staff was so attentive but not overbearing. Been many, many years since our last visit there (due to distance) but so glad we made it back for a dinner with friends. Couldn’t ask for better!

I had the Frutti di Mare for $36.95. There was 1 shrimp, clams that were tiny, maybe 3 scallops, a couple of calamari pieces and many mussels. I thought, for what I got, this dish was over priced. My wife's chicken dish was very good, but did not arrive at the table hot, just slightly warm. The Mozzarella in Carrozza was a special appetizer my wife and I shared. It was good, but again I think it was over priced at like $23. The dessert (profiteroles) was good. The server provided adequate service, but was not very friendly/welcoming. Nice ambiance.

My husband and I have been going to Basilico for close to 40 years. It never disappoints. They keep the menu new and fresh. The meals are prepared perfectly and plated beautifully. Definitely worth a try if you are in Millburn.

Basilico is the best place to eat in Millburn. It is the only “Short Hills” quality restaurant in the area.

Food and service as great. Only downfall is that we sat so close to the people next to us and could hear their whole conversation.

We had high hopes for our experience at BASILICO but sadly it was just mediocre. Although the restaurant was packed, our reserved table was ready and waiting. The service was as frosty as the wintery weather. Too bad. The bread basket contents were cold, hard, and very unappetizing. Couldn’t this restaurant offer fresh bread? Yuk. Our entrees ranged from good (Linguine alle Vongole) to below average (Frutti Di Mare). Sadly, nothing about this restaurant would encourage a repeat visit.

I had a lemon sole special, crusted with crab meat and served with risotto, it was delicious. My husband had a pork chop special that he said was the best pork chop he ever had. Food and service are always spectacular at Basilico.
