Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant is the brainchild of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver. The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter, including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and our house blends from Beatrix Coffee Roasters, featuring Light, Dark, Espresso and Decaf roasts.

                                                                Always fresh and delicious - loved the shakshuka, ham and cheese croissant and egg and cheese sandwich. Super appreciative that they have a full gluten-free menu with a wide variety of items that are delicious too.

                                                                Food was fine but service was inattentive. Restaurant was empty so inexcusable. A good choice for a decent meal if you’re visiting someone in the hospital but otherwise, there are much better options close by for dinner.

                                                                this was our first time dining at the streeterville location and probably the last. the service here was incredibly slow despite the dining room being almost completely empty. our server disappeared for pretty much our entire meal and only came back to check in with us by the time we were trying to get the check and leave. by then there was no point. my food was okay, but my friend’s rigatoni a la vodka had barely any sauce on it and honestly looked like it was microwaved in back and just tossed on to a plate. wine servings were also way under poured which was the most ridiculous part at $14 a glass. especially when compared to the wine pours of the table next to us who got a standard pour.

                                                                Roomy and lively, this cafe was perfect for brunch on Sunday. I had lemon pancakes which were delicious! The coffee is strong and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend!

Our waitress was very sensitive and informed about food allergies as we had a diner with a nut allergy and a gluten free preference. Great options! The whipped feta appetizer was outstanding. Our entrees were also excellent. We will be back.
