We are proud to offer 75 kinds of different pasta recipe, fresh and hand-crafted 12 hours a day.
"Bencotto" means cooked well: this is what authentic Italian food is about.
It tastes as it should and would in Italy.
Bencotto offers two different eating environments: guests can either enjoy their meal at our “kitchen-esque” bar downstairs, or they can relax in the intimate low-ceiling dining area upstairs. The décor creates a clean and sophisticated atmosphere, where old-world charm and warmth blend with contemporary appeal.

    Phenomenal experience. Been anticipating coming back here since our last trip to SD 2 years ago. Italian is our favorite cuisine so the bar is high. Overall some of the best we’ve had, hands down the best lasagne we’ve had and we’ve been to some of the best Italian all over the US. Great cocktails, food, and service. They delivered on all fronts.

    Meh all around. Hostess was super rude. Waiter felt like he was rushing us and took forever with drinks. It’s a tourist area but way overpriced vs food quality. Would not go back.

    This place is a well located factory for volume. You can tell how legit an italian restaurant is by the effort they put into the caesar's salad, and at this place it was as inspired as a corner deli or straight from the pre made case at Vons. I ordered a side of bolognese and sausage, and this was a very good and economic call. If you take three hours to make your own gravy at home, this place will disappoint you.
