    we had a very disappointing experience at Benihana due to poor service. We had a reservation for 7 PM, we were not seated till well after 8 o’clock. We were a party of two that evening, we had a reservation in advance, furthermore, the restaurant called to confirm at the day of.  Having a reservation at this restaurant really appeared to hold no value.  In addition to this poor service, they offered no compensation, such as cocktails or appetizers while we waited. I haven’t been to this restaurant in years, we chose to attend at the wish of my daughter that night- I was overall very disappointed. (For the record, chef Joseph was lovely!)

   Food and experience with Alex, our chef, were excellent however we were not seated until 6:30 even though our reservation was at 5:30. When we arrived they said we would be seated within 15 minutes. We have kids and with minimal seating in the waiting area and no options for appetizers the wait was pretty awful. Many other parties with young kids were waiting for a long time too, so the overall vibe was tense. It would have been nice if they had called to say they were running so far behind or just not overbook so much!

   Awesome! We liked the food. A bit pricey but you leave with leftovers. Our chef was great!

   The food and ambience were amazing as always. The chef did a great job entertaining us and even catered his jokes to the audience. The one down side was the wait. When I make a reservation I expect to be sorted close to that time. Ten to fifteen minutes is still ok but we were seated about an hour later than our reservation. With my family in town from the East Coast is what tough for them to enjoy their meal. Yes 1 hour does make a difference.

   Chef was great! Our waiter while nice he totally missed checking in with our table for drinks. I ended up drinking someone else’s water when I wanted to order a drink.

   We went here for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday. There were eight of us and Nick was amazing and fun and made my granddaughter laugh. Nick is the best. And our waitress I don’t remember her name, but she was really attentive and quick to refill drinks. Ask for Nick to be your chef!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   Benihana was a great choice for a birthday dinner. I had a coupon, which helped, as can be a bit pricey. Food was great and everyone at our table was fun. All in all, a great experience! will be back!
