   Food was good as usual. Our chef for the night did not put on the normal and typical fun and engaging ‘show’. He did the onion volcano and the egg roll joke. He didn’t crack any other jokes nor did he do the fried rice heartbeat or anything else to engage us at the table. It was the least interact experience we have had to date. Not impressed with tonight’s dinner experience especially for the prices we pay.

   We had reservations at 8. took three hours because they didn’t seat us until 9 and the chef didn’t come out until 10. Really disappointing never going again. Also the food was excessively greasy and buttery. Had an immediate stomach ache.

   We were seated one hour past our reservation time. Half our party had to leave and missed a birthday dinner because of the wait. The wait was cramped and uncomfortable- minimal seating and you’re stuck waiting in a small hallway. When people were asking if they could go to the mall given the long waits, they were told they can and they’ll text you- but you have 5 minutes to show up after they text you and then they’ll give the table away. They also were not giving estimates as to the wait. Once seated, we were in the last table in the back and it was very hot. They crammed 9 seats at a table that usually sits 8 so we were very close. Service was extremely slow but friendly. The sauce was weirdly spicy but other food was fine. We’d indicated it was a birthday but it was forgotten until the end when we brought it up. The tables around us received birthday photos but we didn’t. I’d think the poor organization was due to the holiday weekend but based on other recent reviews it seems this is their current norm.

   I booked my reservations 3 1/2 weeks in advance. My reservation time was for 4pm. When we got there it was super busy. After about a 10 minute wait I finally made it to the front of the counter and gave them my reservation name. They took my information and said that there will still be a wait time due to over booking. We ended up waiting an hour and a half just to get seated. We also had a party of 10 (all adults) and they seated us in a table for 8 and added 2 extra seats. So we were packed like sardines and made the dining experience uncomfortable. Some people had to hold their food and eat. Loved the food and the experience but the wait time was absolutely ridiculous.

   Made reservations at 3pm but didn't get seated until 330pm. But we were able to order a drink while we waited so that was okay. Food was good!

   Nothing compared to what used to be … Reception, Ambience and Service are all degraded. The quality and value of food are standards compared to their current high price !

   staff was super nice! it was super super busy up until close for valentines day and most everyone had apparently been working doubles or close to. our chef had been at work for 14 hours and was still super kind and friendly! i was surprised to only wait 10 min to be sat considering how busy it was. our server was very attentive and polite. the manager stopped by our group to say thank you and happy valentines day. very welcoming environment! i hope everyone got enough breaks and time to breathe <3

   We've been going to Benihana about once or twice a year for probably 20 years. It's always been a rare treat. However, this last visit is making me question this expensive tradition. The restaurant itself needs updating. The bathrooms are sub par. We were seated next to a broken grill while workers discussed the issue. I was never offered water. It seems a simple gesture for a $50-$100+ meal. My soup was brought out almost cold. Especially when compared to my wonderfully piping hot tea. While normally a steak girl when at a steakhouse, I ordered the chicken - which just sounded good tonight. However, it was disappointingly dry. And I know inflation is everywhere, but an extra $2 for spicy or teriyaki sauce? And now it's $7 to upgrade your rice to chicken fried rice (which everyone used to do, but at our whole table there was just one- I'm sure this is telling!) A double in price took "I'm going to treat myself" to "that's outlandish." Our chef Ron did a great job entertaining the table and we had a nice evening all things considered, but "nice" is about it. Nothing special.

    We waiting almost an hour from our reservation time to be seated. It took almost another hour to eat. They weee packed and understaffed in the chef department.
