   I would not recommend this restaurant. We went here for a graduation lunch and once the chef was finished cooking the waitress repeatedly asked us if we were done and would then say she was going to return in 5 minutes to ask again-which she repeatedly did. There were 4 other grills open, so I’m not sure why it was necessary to rush us out.

   We had a reservation for 6:45 and they didn’t seat us until almost 8:00. Waiting more than an hour for a reserved table and having to pay extra for drinks and apps to make the wait bareable is unacceptable. Not a good place to book with kids for that reason.

   Benihana, is a total rip off. For $50 I ordered filet and scallops. I got chopped up maybe 5 oz of steak and 4 tiny scallops... My meal was mostly rice and some chopped up vegetables... To top it all off they charged each of us $7 extra to have fried rice when this is part of the table chiefs job to cook the rice as a side!! It was incredibly loud and the seating areas / tables are spaced way too close. That many tables make the air ventilation a problem to. We went with 8 people to celebrate two birthdays and we will definitely NOT GO BACK.

   Very disappointing. Went out to celebrate a friend’s wedding anniversary. Chose Benihana because it was a midway point between our homes but should have driven farther. The service was terrible - waited 15 minutes for our pre-dinner drinks and no, the bartender wasn’t busy. Edamame appetizer arrived after our first course was served and it wasn’t the spicy version we ordered. We asked for water twice before getting it and then only for three of us. The sushi roll rice was too brittle to eat, had to pick the filling out. The teriyaki steak was tough and chewy, the tofu bland, the soup a watery broth, the salad basic chopped iceberg. Decor is functional, better suited to a takeout joint. Do not waste your time and money here.

   Our chef was an absolute blast! I believe his name was Phil? He was personable, funny and related to us all at the table. My two kids had never been before and had the time of their life! The food was fantastic, flavorful and cooked exactly as we requested. Our chef continued to check with everyone to see if we were satisfied while also making us laugh. Bartender made an awesome lemon drop too. All the employees we saw were friendly and greeted us with smiles. We will definitely be returning !
