   Had reservation took almost two hours to eat. They had to move our table because the grill wasn't on after the brought out the salads. Menus, plates and silver was nasty. They did discount our meal

   I went to Benihana in Northville last night. All was well, but after the protein was served, the chef left and the waitress came with to go bags. Literally within 5 mintes, busboys came clearing things and tried to take my plate AS I WAS EATING!! Is this how it's supposed to be, stay for show but leave immediately after?? First and last time going... Total time seated less than 45 minutes. For context, RSVP was 645. Seated just after 7pm with 6 other people at table. Literally walked out the door at 752pm. To add insult to injury, I had a gift card for $75, the waitress said it only was $70, then left it on table after paying. I had to beg for ice cream that was part of the meal, which wasn't even offered to me. The chef Victor, was awesome, but the other services did not match the price of experience.

   Was a tad bit early for our 3 pm reservation however, it did not take long at all to be seated. We were 1 of 2 couples seated at the hibachi grill area. Our hostess was great and our chef was even better. Hibachi Colossal shrimp was delicious along with a paired Sangria. Benihana never disappoints!!!

   They did not celebrate a birthday we were having even though I noted the reservation and also told them at the table. Service was lacking and we had to ask the manager to get started with water after waiting for 10 minutes or more. Poor customer service unfortunately, food was decent but overall ranking was disappointing.

   The food made my stomach hurt so bad. I normally eat Benihana at least once every 2 to 3 months and I’ve never had an issue like this will not be coming back to Benihana anytime soon. This made me feel super uncomfortable. Once I got home it was definitely a temperature issue With the food, which is why I was not feeling well and sick!

   Over the years the pricing of the food has good up but it is still the same tricks. A kids meal is over $20. The experience is getting old.
