Bistro never disappoints. The food, particularly the lamb shank, was terrific. The entire staff is friendly, attentive and excellent. We go there every time we visit New York.

Nice experience overall. While name is totally French, relatively few menu items are. Beef bourginon which here is served over noodles wasn't accompanied by that thick clingy aromatic sauce that makes the dish.

This is our neighborhood gem in Soho. The dining room is cozy with dim lighting, photographs, and dark wood. This was a mild Fall afternoon and the tall front windows were open to the breeze. The waitstaff is very pleasant, and professional - old world style. My husband had the moules marinière and a roasted goat cheese salad. I had the garden salad and the chicken paillard in a balsamic reduction. Topped it off with tira misu and the whole experience was perfection. We sat in the back corner and the noise level was quiet. We could actually hear each other speak, not so usual nowadays.

I have been going to Bistro Les Ami for 15 years now. I make certain that I dine here each time that I am in NYC. The quality of the food for the price is a great value. The lamb shank is by far my favorite, however I have never been disappointed with and meal.
