The Carriage House Restaurant in the F.M. Kirby Carriage House is open for Pre-Performance and Post-Matinee dining. Two Course Prix Fixe lunch and Three Course Prix Fixe dinners are available two and half hours prior to most Main Stage Performances and after all Matinee Performances at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Reservations are strongly recommended. Check PaperMill.org for scheduling and ticket availability. Sample Menus are linked on PaperMill.org/Restaurant.

An eclectic a la carte menu and desserts is available only in the Bar and Loft area; walk up service recommended for our bar areas, reservations available. Our full bar offers premium spirits, fresh fruit sangria, and a stunning selection of interesting wines by the glass or bottle.

We are always welcomed like returning VIPs. The staff remembers all the little things about our dining experience. Our server Gi consistently works extremely hard to give us a relaxed meal while keeping an eye on show time.

They only had a pre fix menu. The choices were not that good. On open table it said you could order from the regular menu if you sat in the loft. That was not the case, my husband and I did notice that some other patrons were allowed the full regular menu. Which was not fair. The shrimp scampi, was ok. Not great. Prices are high. Poor chop Was ok. Dessert nothing special. We had eaten there in Sept 6 months prior, that was a better menu and the food tasted better. Perhaps there are different chefs now. Disappointed to say the least.

The menu is creative and the offerings well prepared and delicious. Even more impressive is the service. Despite being extremely busy, the servers are welcoming, upbeat, efficient and attentive to small details. We always have an excellent meal here

We selected from the Mystic Pizza menu. The Portuguese kale and linguica soup and Atlantic cod were top notch. My companion had the clams and lamb stew, also delectable. Truly enjoyed our dinner!

The food was good but the portions were small. The salad was literally enough for four bites. The codfish was also very small although very tasty. Clearly, when I saw the portions from other diners, I thought you ran out of the codfish! The server was wonderful and we were well taken care of but the chef should be cognizant of the amount of food on the plate.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of the food. My husband had the octopus salad and the steak and eggs The steak was perfectly cooked and octopus was plentiful, tender and delicious. I had the kale salad and the New England clam chowder pot pie. Both were delicious just the right portion. Our waitress was friendly, professional and attentive. A great experience overall.
