I really enjoyed the food until it came to the dessert. I had the crème boules. It tasted great except the chef put little cubes of potatoes in the crème. It didn’t add anything and instead it took away from the smoothness to the pallet. Why?

2 comments about our dining experience: The restaurant should have black napkins upon request. Many diners wear black pants, and the white napkins give off lint. My pants had white lint all over. Also, the Branzino portion is extremely small compared to many other restaurants. I was given the 2 smallest pieces ever. Our server Adam was very friendly and gave us great service on a busy night!

The prix fixe New Year’s Eve dinner was outstanding and the wine pairings were excellent. The reason for the Four Stars instead of Five Stars is because the four courses were rushed. The servers needed to slow it down and allow us time to enjoy our courses without rushing us on to the next one as soon as we took the last bite. A four course dinner and cocktails should take longer than 75 minutes. We needed about a 10 min break between each course.

We were seated downstairs where it was quiet and intimate. The service was great. The food was good and the price was also very good. One of our go to restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Dined in the front “courtyard” seating area for New Years Eve. Had a lovely evening. Service was attentive, we never felt as though we were being rushed or pushed to turn our table over. Highlights were the citrus mocktail, beet salad and pork chop. Chocolate cake was pretty and tasty. Lamb shank was off… significantly more fatty than we’d expect, would probably not order again. Despite the chilly weather we were cozy and the atmosphere was festive. A solid start to our NYE festivities.

Dined downstairs away from the packed NYE crowd upstairs and in the outer dining area. Enjoyed the more low keyed atmosphere. Food was excellent as usual. Filet and short rib ravioli were delicious. Bar cocktail menu needs an upgrade but other than that it was a wonderful evening.

Food & service are always terrific. Had the tasting menu which I always enjoy Casbah tasting menus. Quail & scallops (first & second courses) were outstanding. Filet (third course) was good. Dessert (Baklava cheesecake) was just OK. That is personal. I am sure others thought it was excellent. Service was top notch as always.

Terrific lunch in the dining room room, lovely ambiance and wonderful meal. Delicate mushroom bisque was a highlight along with crab salad. Generous lumps of crab in a delicate dressing. Partner loved the salmon, cooked to perfection…..bit of a drive for us, would enjoy lunch again…..

Great food and good service. Well taken care of and out in an hour on a Saturday night. Cocktails were very well made and Vegan options were offered for my wife. Will be back!
