Absolutely excellent food but expensive. The portions are small. Drinks are $15. $350 dinner for two.

Go for the cacio et pepe pasta, prepared table side. Our group of 3 had pasta entrees after Caesar salad and tuna tartare. The carbonara was more pancetta than Rome's; get extra garlic for the linguini vongole. Stay for the zabaglione ---who else makes it. It's made tableside and just boozy enough. Nice and efficient staff; cozy and festive ambiance.

The food was excellent. The young man that cleared tables and set them up was very good. Our server ignored us . It took MANY minutes for us to be able to ask a question or place an order. We were very close to leaving without ordering any thing due to the delays.

We went for Christmas dinner. I had several options for dinner but wanted to check out all of the menus. Castello's did not post a menu on their website or FB page so I called. The person who answered the phone said there was no special menu for Christmas. I said but you had one for Thanksgiving. She said no, just order from the menu. After reviewing the menu we decided we would go there. Well, they had a set menu. I ended up with chicken parmesan for Christmas. Definitely not my choice for a Holiday dinner. But they offered 3 fish dishes, they were out of the steak and offered veal, no thank you. Chicken parmesan, lobster ravioli, or Pene ala vodka. Boy was I bummed. I was planning on some Fried Calamari and maybe chicken francese off the regular menu as I was told we could order from that menu. The chicken dish was ok, a typical chicken parmesan, but nothing spectacular. Had we seen the menu in advance we would have choose a different restaurant. The Arch Restaurant had a better menu and the prices were comparable. I just wish the staff knew what was going on for the holiday so I would have gotten the correct information,

Very disappointing meal. Food was very mediocre and meh. Lobster ravioli tasted like something store bought and pasta too al dente. Chicken parm very mediocre. Everything was way overpriced—more than a restaurant in NYC and not even close to the same quality. Also the larger table next to mine who was ordering wine seemed to take priority to mine. Will not be returning.

This was my 1st time dining at Costello's. Good food we were not rushed even though it was Christmas day. Service was very good. I will go back.
