The food was trouble. It was dry and flavorless. Service was good and drinks were very strong. The table next to us was very loud and we were in and out in 20 minutes due to the food and loudness. Might be good for a family but if you’re looking for a quiet romantic dinner this isn’t it.

The food was awful. It was like airplane food. It was a set menu and not only overpriced, but just gross.

Came here for a Friday night dinner and it was the seafood extravaganza. It was pretty empty in the restaurant, but the buffet was fantastic. It was stocked with fresh delicious food. We loved the Fresh tomahawk off the grill, delicious tri tip, prime rib sliced to order, fresh seafood and they even had duck! The cold bar had amazing poke and delicious sushi rolls. The dessert station was stocked with a variety of gelatos and sorbets. The value is amazing and I haven’t even talked about service yet. Luis took great care of us. Waters and drinks always full. Every time we grabbed more food, our table was refreshed with new silverware. We felt so welcomed dining at Catalina Kitchen. 10 out of 10 would recommend dining here. Bring your friends and family because where else can you get this great of a buffet in the South Bay?

Gorgeous setting. Great service. Delicious, well-appointed seafood buffet that contains much more than that that - mouth-watering charcuterie including delicious salads and pickled veg, carving stations with prime rib, leg of lamb, tomahawk steak, turkey, salmon, sushi, and scrumptious gelato. Wines are outstanding as well, and serves were wonderful with our tired and cold 3-year old - bringing her a blanket and extra heaters. Lovely experience and would have expected to pay much more for the Friday night buffet.

We dined on Friday night for the Seafood Buffet , which had many non Seafood options such as Tomahawk Steak, Tri Tip, and Lamb. All were very good. Seafood options were plentiful, King crab, crab cakes, scallops, sushi. At $85/ person amazing quality for a buffet!

I could not have been more disappointed in the food at the New Year’s Eve seafood buffet. For $145 per person I expected so much more. There wasn’t one exceptional dish. The seafood was extremely dry and not enjoyable at all. I will never go to another buffet at Terranea ever again.

Before I begin I have to say, as always, the service was amazing! The wait staff, hostestees and bussers - all awesome! The food however, not to par. In fact, below par. Apparently there is a new chief. This person has ruined easy to prepare foods such as, sushi, shrimp cocktail, chocolate cake, poke, French toast, scrambled eggs, hummus, tomahawk steaks, and pretty much everything else. Our experience there was bad enough that we will not be back for a while. (Hoping to wait out this new cooks tenure). We are not accustomed to leaving large amounts of wasted food on the table. It was a disgrace of a meal. Also, side note: the restrooms are absolutely disgusting. I mean, as in, vial. Makes a person wonder what their kitchen looks like when the ladies room is that unkempt at 9:30am. I would not recommend this establishment until changes are made and made public.
