Neighborhood French-inspired bistro featuring an ever-changing French-Fusion menu that keeps you coming back to try the things you didn’t have room for.
Marianne’s organic garden helps supply Warren’s kitchen with his beloved fresh produce & both are actively involved in the local food movement.
The ambiance is fusion as well - bistro style rather than “fine dining” - that is at once classic French and comfortable with an open kitchen so foodies can watch the work in progress. Art work is a mix of Mucha prints and Warren’s photography. Music is quirky.
Nightly wine by the glass specials, carefully curated wine list and a delightful cocktail menu round out drinks offerings.
Neither high chairs nor booster seats are available.
Reservations are for a two hour time period.
Classic Parisian style sidewalk seating available.
Warren and his wife Marianne have spent the last twenty-five years delighting diners with their worldly cuisine & genuine hospitality.

If you’re into anime, just know it’s a Food Wars sensation with every bite. The food was amazing as well and out of the ordinary. The kangaroo was not what I expected. The flavors just wrap you up like a nice warm Aussie breeze, and it takes you across the plains of Australia. A very exquisite place. Staff was amazing and attentive. Definitely will be coming back again.

Went for a birthday celebration and the staff were wonderful. Food was excellent but I have to rant about the pecan pie. Just amazing. Had to buy some to take home. Will definitely go again.

Everything was excellent! We had noticed another table was given a birthday cupcake, but nothing was offered for my mother (who was a little disappointed).

I am so sorry that we missed the opportunity to celebrate your mother’s birthday! Please accept our sincere apologies. If you indicate it is a birthday celebration in your reservation, we add birthday glitter to the table and pop a candle in whatever dessert the celebrant has ordered & the single dessert is on us. Unfortunately we don’t serve cupcakes - so possibly the other guests brought in their own dessert?

If you're looking for fine dining - delicious food, pleasant ambiance, wonderful attentive service and advice (Maryann), you will find it all at Chef Warren's. It will be our restaurant of choice for all our celebrations hereafter! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The menu is refreshed regularily. I visit southern pines several times a year for golfing in the area. Chef Warren’s is always on my calendar for a meal. Seasonal sensitivities and local sourced ingredients assembled cleverly make for an exception dinner experience.

Chef Warren's is always a delight! It’s one of the few places in Southern Pines where you truly get your money’s worth. Every dish was outstanding, and everyone at our table absolutely loved their meal. The flavors, presentation, and service were top-notch. And whatever you do—don’t skip dessert! Every bite was pure indulgence. Can’t wait for our next visit

This was our second visit and it was as excellent as we remembered! The pork schnitzel is amazing. Everything we’ve had there has been outstanding. We also love the ambiance. It feels special without being pretentious. We’ll be back the next time we visit So Pines.
