   A favourite restaurant of ours. The food last night was amazing. Beautifully cooked and tasty . Very busy but the service was impeccable.

   A delightful small restaurant on two levels. Soft guitar music for background. The food was delicious with subtle use of spices. There is a full vegetarian menu as well. Altogether a most pleasant experience. We shall certainly go again

   Chestergate Bistro always exceeds our expectations. Lovely staff, calm and relaxed atmosphere, great service (perfect timings for each course, never rushed or feel as though the restaurant needs your table) The food is truly delicious, beautifully presented and always surprises with unusual combinations. If this were London or Manchester they could charge 3 times the price but we always get the feeling they wouldn't as they simply seem to enjoy producing honest, unpretentious, really really great food!

   Reliably high-quality food and service. It always feels special to come here for dinner. The fixed-price menu makes it really good value as well. I have never had a bad meal here..

   We enjoyed yet another fabulous dinner last night at Chestergate Bistro - food is consistently excellent and service too! A favourite restuarant of all my family for many many years and it never disappoints! Highly recommended! Maggie
