Never Again!! Two years ago we found ourselves delighted on Thanksgiving day dining at Chez Colette. So this year when we discovered it would just be the three of us for dinner, CC seemed like the perfect choice. Not to mention, we frequently have cocktails & enjoy happy hour at the hotel bar. This year was a major major MISS! The food was barely a step above hospital cafeteria food with a selection of items 1/3 of what we had previously experienced. We actually had the same waiter from the last time however, this holiday his primary focus was on the guests seated at the large circular table in the center of the room. This table for some reason seemed to be held to a very different standard than the rest of us in the room. In fact in was like being seated at the kids table and watching the adults receive white glove service. Even the decor was different from the rest of the tables as they were the only ones that had a nice table cloth. Well… I’m not sure what they paid for their meal & service but we paid $300 for crappy food and something they felt warranted a 20% gratuity. NEVER NEVER again!!

Thanksgiving lunch at Chez Colette was exactly what I was hoping for. The food was delicious. There were traditional main dishes, with a few non-traditional ones, and a large selection of seafood and charcuterie. The desserts were very good, and the coffee was just right. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I'm so glad we chose to go here!

We enjoyed Chez Colette's Thanksgiving Buffet today. Included were sufficient choices to satisfy the glutton and the gourmet. Among the star dishes were a pheasant pâté, the pastrami salmon, and all the desserts (the bite-sized bûche de Noël, the pumpkin verrine, the chocolate and orange tartelette, and the pecan-bourbon pie were particular hits). Less impressive, in my opinion, though still good, were the "chicken pâté" (note omission of the word 'liver' though it was a chicken liver pâté) which needed something to kick it up (providing mustard would have helped) and the squash soup which needed a bit more cream; lacking cream, I added salt which helped a bit. The service was superbly attentive; the noise level very comfortable for quiet conversation. The bistro decor is in keeping with the brasserie theme. The price for the meal (we took advantage of an early bird special) was very reasonable. Even without that discount, I would say that this Thanksgiving buffet is worth the price.

Attended the Thanksgiving Buffet. They timed the reservations so there was no line to get any item. Selection was extraordinary and well presented. Given its French roots it was nice to see various pates. The breads were spot on and the deserts were very good. The staff worked as a team and true professionals. It was a nice experience.

I arrived for my reservation to find they were NOT in fact serving tea although I had made a reservation for tea well in advance. The lovely concierge had quite a time figuring out what was happening and couldn’t even find the food and beverage manager. When he finally DID find her she told us they were revamping the tea service, but she “didn’t notice my reservation” so I was not informed. A pretty tepid attempt at an apology followed including an invitation to have lunch in the bar- we saw NO ONE with any food, which made an unappealing option even more so. “We can comp a few things for you” Such an unprofessional handling of the whole situation.

The breakfast was nice and hot and because the buffet was ending and they were not serving the dessert I had originally planned to have my waiter told me I could take some pastries. They had the most delicious almond croissant I’ve ever had, I wish I had gotten two more for the flight home.

We expected a beautiful French breakfast w options like eggs Benedict, gourmet style French toast…terrible cheap hotel buffet w barely warm items and minimal choices. No carving station, no omelette station - literally the cheapest lowest grade breakfast in Rittenhouse. The Sofitel should be ashamed. It was so not worth the walk across town. We only learned after overhearing another table complain, that we could order off a menu vs the super low grade over priced buffet. No clue if they offered bloody Mary’s or mimosas. The waitress barely wanted to serve us. I think she was the only one in the room which must be why they pushed us to the buffet and didn’t given the menu option or a drink option. Don’t waste your time here. Even if you are a hotel guests-so many better choices every where. You trip over good restaurants in this neighborhood. Chez Colette is only there to rip off the Sofitel guests.

This was a 2 HOUR lunch! Only one server so I can’t blame him but it would definitely have been 30 min longer had I not asked about the status of our lunch or for our bill. The food and drink were delicious but I can’t say I’d come here again because it took too long. Also the restaurant closes at 11 so you sit at the hotel bar for lunch

It’s too bad with just a little effort this place could be a great little french cafe bistro, but it’s not. food is mediocre, service is slow and inattentive, ambiance is garish and bright and it’s over priced. what a shame.
