Chicago Cut Steakhouse is one of Chicago’s most iconic dining experiences in a city that boasts dozens of options for steak-centric dining. Our downtown Chicago steakhouse offers guests a selection of signature, USDA-certified prime beef that is hand-cut and dry-aged on site. Our curated menu also features fish, shellfish, chops and a selection of unique side dishes and appetizers. In addition to delicious martinis and specialty cocktails, Chicago Cut offers a wine list with more than 600 bottles that has been highlighted Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine. Our dining area features a lively bar scene, vibrant red velvet banquettes and spacious dining tables, private dining options and beautiful, sweeping views of the Chicago River. In the warm months, we also open our sprawling outdoor dining patio, which makes Chicago Cut an excellent spot for an outdoor brunch, lunch or dinner reservation along the river.

    Great restaurant but JAM PACKED (there were a lot of holiday parties so not unexpected.) GET THE FRENCH ONION SOUP…fantastic!

    We were visiting from Michigan and had high hopes for a pleasant dining experience. While the service was excellent and the food met our expectations, the table location significantly detracted from our visit. We specifically requested a booth but were seated at a table in the least optimal spot—right at the entrance to the dining room. Despite our request, a booth in the corner remained available throughout our entire meal. This lack of accommodation was disappointing, especially given the otherwise positive aspects of our experience. A little more attention to seating preferences could have made our visit much more enjoyable.

    This is one of our top restaurants everytime we come to Chicago. The service is impeccable. The food always tremendous. It’s decorated beautifully for Christmas. My only complaint is that they cram the tables in there so closely that you can’t get in or out without inconveniencing people. I got up to go to the restroom and when I came back the table behind us had been seated and the table beside us was being served. There was no way for me to get to my table. I had to stand there until everyone was settled and the. Make them move their chairs for me to get through. It’s just way too crowded.

    Inexcusable to jam so many tables onto the floor that you can’t even get to your table without asking someone to move up. Servers couldn’t maneuver to the table to deliver food. Had to reach across the table to service. It was absurd how many tables they had jammed in for the Holiday season. Ruined a perfect fine dining experience. I certainly feel sorry for the servers who work in these awful conditions. Food was pretty good. For $458.00 for my best friend and I to have dinner and to be so packed in like sardines and not able to talk because of the noise is awful. I’ll never go back.

    Our entire experience was exceptional - from before dinner drinks in the bar to dinner in the dining room! Our table was perfect - alongside the windows overlooking the Chicago river…. at this time of year, with all the decorations and lights, it was a stunning view. The hostess, bartender and our server were amazing, contributing to an unforgettable evening! I plan on writing a note to the manager tomorrow regarding their courtesy, attentiveness and professionalism. Oh, by the way, our meal was superb!
