Wolfgang Puck's second restaurant opened in 1983. A unique blend of Chinese and French fusion explodes with flavors unheard of before. Imitated but yet never captured to this day this fusion of flavors keeps you craving and coming back for more. Chinois is always a great experience for us. We tried the Dine LA menu, the food was delicious! The Amuse Bouche caviar topped croquette was a great starter and a reminder of how wonderful Wolfgang Puck Restaurants serve caviar. We plan to return to one of his restaurants soon for caviar. The bartender at Chinois makes wonderful cocktails and is always so welcoming. I wished we lived in the neighborhood, this restaurant would definitely be a favorite!

Maybe it was an off night, but Chinois has lost its luster. Service was slow. Most of the food was delicious but the pavlova dessert was stale.

Outstanding service and outstanding welcoming staff, and the food is the best food in Los Angeles. A great restaurant that everybody should try at least once.

Overall very good food and service. Restaurant is too LOUD which would keep us from returning. I also wonder if that noise level can be good for employees day after day. Can it cause hearing damage?

I've been a patron of Chinois since its opening 41 years ago and it's always excellent. Last night was no exception. We shared a couple of the specials including the crab cakes topped with a large shrimp, an eggplant dish and some of the old standbys including the veggie fried rice and the chicken salad and more. All was delicious, the service attentive and the staff super friendly. A visit by Wolfgang himself who stopped by to chat along with the ever present front of the house - Bella just further enhanced the evening.

Wish I could report that a long time institution like this classic together with age. Sat at bar as table offerings for two were cramped. Bar was fun for foodie voyeur standpoint. Service from main floor was adequate. No real explanation of the food or suggestions for sharing we’re offered In all honesty, the pricing was not out of this world and the short rib was delicious.
