Loved it! My kids were invested the whole time. Food was excellent - had the fried chicken, apple pie and the potato dinner dish. It’s a must do! Get reservations early!

The fried fish is bland. I had to use a few lemon wedges to give it taste. My favorite is the salad but it was not as fresh as two days before when we ate there. Service is always great. Hosts and waiters are always very nice. Better service than Kings’s Arms. Good food. Prices are a little steep. Ambience is nice, with colonial live music and colonial dishes like spoon bread, etc.

Showed up early for our 5pm reservation to get out of rain. They took us early and for a while we were the only guests. Our server was attentive and very nice. She gave us the historical relevance of the napkin, ale, bread and key dishes. She was great. I did notice some inconsistency as when the next couple arrived their server said nothing about any historical relevance and did not offer that the fried fish is the whole fish but the head could be removed if preferred. I felt bad as we were wearing our napkin around our neck and that other coupled asked us why. I was very pleased with my Seafood Pye. It was the most tender cook of shell fish I’ve ever had. My husband had the fried fish (with head removed) and the fry batter to fish was perfect. He loved the flavoring. A musician came in to play for us and it really rounded out a nice meal. I’m just happy we were lucky enough to get our server and that we finished just in time before a large party came in our room. Great experience.

What a great experience! We had a reservation at 600pm and we're ushered into a small dining room of about 8 tables and greeted by two ladies in period garb. They presented the menus and shared historical tidbits. The food was amazing! Crab cakes and Seafood Pye, Fairced Oysters, lettuces from the garden, and trifle for dessert! Punch bowls to share with the table and unique non-alcoholic offerings as well. A bit pricey, but well worth the experience!

Everything was wonderful. Great experience all around. The seafood pie, while excellent, was extremely rich.

One goes to the restaurants in Williamsburg for the wonderful experience of going back in time. And Christiana’s delivers on that score. My husband got the fried chicken which was almost inedible. Seemed it had been prepared hours before and warmed up under a heat lamp. It was as dry as cardboard. The pea soup however was outstanding as was the salad. Our server acknowledged our displeasure but didn’t offer us anything.
