Citrus Grillhouse is an American bistro-style casual seaside eatery. Dishes are simple classics with Italian and Mediterranean inspired origins. Executive Chef Scott Varricchio’s creative plates have been described as ‘approachable comfort food bursting with flavor’. Last night we were disappointed with Citrus Grillhouse for three reasons. #1 Noise level made conversation and even ordering difficult to impossible. #2 Waitstaff was new and confused. #3 food portions seemed down sized from the past.

Our meals were delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The burrata was delicious and the flounder was perfect. The pasta was a bit salty but delicious bday make sure that you get the home baked bread with compound butter. So good but pricey!

Prefer outside but ate indoors. Wasn't too loud. Hostess was excellent. The best we've had there. The food was great. Citrus risotto and the truffle capellini are superb. Other meals served were the bolognese, steak and red snapper. All very good. The one area that consistently I think needs work is their apps. I also think their red beet salad is not a salad. It's more like an app and it should be in the app section, not salad section. It's a shocker always for people and so I explain it to my friends. The restaurant is our fav in town!

Citrus is always consistent! Went for lunch today and really wanted the beet salad from dinner menu was not an option, server recommended grilled salmon salad which was delicious! Always great to go back!

The Red Snapper did not disappoint. We shared the wedge salad and my husband accompanied it with a beet appetizer. Even though we were full, we ordered the gooey butter dessert and the cheesecake trio-not to be missed. Service was exceptional.

Adjacent table had a gentleman doing business on his cell phone which we could listen to. Tried to embarrass him by asking him if I could help him with his deal. Ignored me. Asked the waiter if they had a policy on cell phones said no ….. expensive dinner to be interrupted by someone doing business on his cell phone. it was unacceptable. Food was excellent.

The location and atmosphere are outstanding - we sat outside- beautiful evening oceanfront! But the menu is very limited. I had the flounder which was pretty good. My husband had the prawns which were very tough! I encouraged him to send them back, but he said there wasn't really anything else on the menu that he would want to eat. The iced tea tasted as though it had gone bad.

We had the flounder… ate by the ocean. Delicious & Harry was the best !!!! He took great care of us.

This was our fourth visit to this particular restaurant. Normally we enjoy it. This outing and the prior one might represent a misfire. The wine by the Glass list is certainly adequate and the service was perfunctory. The steak dinner was extremely salty and seemed not particularly marbled. It was tough. Likewise the the fish dinner was overly salted. Normally we enjoy salty foods and don’t object to them. However, on this occasion, the entrées seemed overly salted.
