A new generation of Italian cuisine - fresh, light and authentic. By using proper cooking techniques, our flavors are natural and pure. Our menu is a homage to our region Calabria and southern Italian roots reflecting what is being served in Italy today. You can also find an extensive vegan menu that incorporates many of the best Italian dishes. We have been the first restaurant in the USA to have a full Italian Vegan menu since 2015! We believe in sustainability, both in our food and in the design of our restaurant. While our menu focuses on locally grown and seasonal ingredients, our bar and dining areas were created using reclaimed, natural materials. Nothing goes to waste at Civico 1845!

What a bummer! I think they must have new chef because the food is terrible and It comes cold to the table. This restaurant used to be my favorite in little Italy because the food used to be outstanding! I mean outstanding! The focaccia used to be delicious and warm. Not anymore. What a let down because I just introduced it to some friends of mine tonight and I was so embarrassed. I kept talking it up but now I look like a liar. So disappointed. I think they need to make some BIG changes to get their mojo back.

Excellent food and wine options. The fresh focaccia was wonderful and the basil added to the accompanying olive oil was a great touch. My wife said the Caprese was very fresh and the best she’s had. The Pappardelle Brasato was recommended by our server and did not disappoint. Service was attentive without being intrusive.

We had an exceptional experience! We were warmly welcomed by Pietro. Seated at the bar with the wonderful camaraderie of Marcelo and Nina. The quality and care in the food preparation is unmatched we enjoyed the burrata caprese, the zucchini blossoms, and lasagna. Every bite was delicious! We will be back soon.

We came here on Christmas Eve, so understandablely a busy night. We had a reservation but they had us sitting at an outdoor covered corner table (again fine, as my reservation was for ‘standard’ seating not specifically inside). The food was very okay, low on seasonings and flavor, as if they forgot to add them, in my opinion. There was a mouse that kept coming to our table and scurrying around which made our dining experience uncomfortable and unenjoyable. Again, not the restaurant’s fault, but something you want to experience while enjoying dinner. We asked for the manager and our waiter said she’d try to find him. When we finally tracked him down (I saw them chatting before so obviously he just avoided coming over…. Wonder why) the manager essentially laughed in our faces when we said something about it. So unprofessional and not how you encounter out of towners to want to come back. I’d consider giving the food another chance but definitely not after this experience with the staff.

AMAZING. A rare combination of a place that seemed like a semi-casual neighborhood gem and also super special. The food was amazing - authentic with a touch of wow. We had eggplant, chicken, and mushroom/sausage pasta. Everything was amazing - including the lovely sac with warm focaccia that arrives first with an herby pesto dipping olive oil. It was very busy, but the service was wonderful - friendly and welcoming, check this place out!

I can’t believe how good the vegan calamari dish is! Every time I come to Civico, I can try a delicious vegan option, while my meat loving husband enjoys his choice. Also, the vegan pesto to dip the bread in is to die for—so good! Plus, the piazza makes you feel like you are part of the bustle of Little Italy, while still having a little corner to yourself and your party.

The place is very cute, nice location, staff were friendly and really great. Food was delicious (though mine needed a little salt). Overall first experience was quite good. We’ll be going again to try more dishes for sure.
