Clydz is a lively New Brunswick destination with a subterranean atmosphere, reminiscent of a 1920's speakeasy. At Clydz, the fare is anything but ordinary. The menu is comprised of small plates and entrees, ranging from a selection of steaks, scallops, duck, house made pastas and desserts.

The cuisine is not the only element that sets Clydz apart from the rest. The trendy bar, enhanced by fish tanks and fireplaces, offers adventurous martini and cocktail selections.

Cydz is a gem! I hade the grilled oysters. They were absolutely delicious. The staff is amazing. the service prompt and accurate. The wine by the glass offering, is decent, but could use more depth.

Food was good . Atmosphere was bizarre. You walk through a noisy bar to find someone in the middle that looks like a waiter station to seat you. They first wanted to sit us at noisy bar. Then after requesting sat us upstairs which tables looked like a nice restaurant. When seated you realize that their Christmas decorations are overkill. Less is more. It looked like they covered every piece of art they had , every inch of ceiling had an ornament or snowflake hanging from it, every landing had presents and green garland. Not a relaxing atmosphere at all. The music made it also not a relaxing dinner. It went from nice jazz (which would have been appropriate )to country, then rap. It made for an overstimulating strange vibe. Best part of experience was the food and waiter Arman. While we learned that each staff member picks a song for Que which explains music, that might enhance experience for employees but not patrons. I would not reccomend or return simply because of atmosphere.

We went for appys & drinks to celebrate a 60th b-day. Servers were super nice & informative but very slow in bringing out cocktails. Food came out before drinks. Food was ok but drinks were definitely better.

Had a great meal before a show at the State Theatre! The grilled oyster appetizer was delicious. My daughter had the duck and I had the duck confit gnocchi. Both were perfect!

Place was nice. Food was subpar. Portions were generous. Hostess noticed I dropped my fork and got me a new set without asking. Would not come back again though based on food quality. Not bad just very bland. Interesting dishes with great portions and nice presentation. Just no flavor.

The menu was promising, but the execution was poor. The grilled octopus was chewy. The duck breast was overcooked and tough. If they can solve this, the place has potential. Staff is very attentive without hovering. Nice comfortable atmosphere.
