   Thomas our waiter was absolutely lovely (a local lad from Cong) 1st class service very attentive, fantastic personality & a wonderful asset to Ashford Castle. Our table was by the window looking out on beautiful Lough Corrib & the chair was so comfortable (I have spinal problems) I could have happily sat there all day reading a book & having more pots of tea. The tea was so nice myself & my daughter had two pots. Sandwiches, scones & cakes were lovely & Thomas very kindly boxed up the ones we couldn't eat (as we were so full) & we were able to take them home for our tea which was lovely & the box they came in was so pretty. The classical music playing in the background (just at the right decibels) added to the ambience. Thank you for a lovely afternoon Thomas. On a negative note the 15% service charge on top of the €75 per person for the adternoon tea was exorbitant.

   Fantastic afternoon at Ashford Castle for afternoon tea. Staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly and the food was divine! All topped off by the beautiful surrounds. Would highly recommend.

   Really nice and tasty and also one of the few ways to see the inside of the castle while staying at the Lodge.

   The staff in Ashford Castle are just unbelievable. They are trained to the highest standard and make every guest feel like a VIP. The food was delicious and the detailed information given about the food and teas was brilliant. The gift of tea beige wow sing was a beautiful touch.

   We loved this marvelous afternoon tea at Ashford castle ! Everything was perfect, food was generous and so good. The waiters were so much helpfull and warm. We would love to come again !
