- TTRACEYSan Diego •7 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoWe enjoyed our anniversary dinner but though we noted it because they asked, it wasn't addressed. Not a big deal but wondered why they even asked if it was a special occasion. It is expensive and though nice inside and the waitress very nice and friendly, it's not a cozy warm atmosphere inside. We are in our 60s and it was chilly inside the restaurant. We were not near windows or doors but others around us were felling the chill and kept their jackets on. We didn't say anything so that's on us and we managed ok. This is our second time here and we had reservations. Both times walking in, no one is at the front desk. We waited for a good 7 minutes before a gentleman came from the back. Other staff saw us waiting but didn't say anything to us nor tell someone we were waiting. Then, when he did come forward, he looked us up and said he had to go church to see if he could find a table for us. After he left, we chuckled because the place was ½ empty and lots of tables available. Everything went smoothly with the waitress, very friendly and nice personality and smile which we appreciate. We ordered the chart your course meal which is $55 per person but when the bill came we were charged $60 for each prime rib and then separately for the salad/ soup and dessert. Not sure where the error happened, at input into computer or what but she got it corrected and it finally worked out. We definitely appreciate the complimentary valet as i have mobilty issues and even with our handicapped tag there's no place to park on our own close by. We tipped the valet. This is definitely a plus over PCG nearby. One more thing they could do for ambience is light the candles at the tables. The candle holder is there but none were lit in the restaurant. Would give the place a warm look at least.More infoChart House Restaurant - CardiffPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Solana Beach•4.4

The fish special was tasty, and the fish and chips the best I’ve had at Jake’s. The staff welcomed us to a table reserved for especially for us and our anniversary. We enjoyed the booth and sea views while sipping sangria. We were given free choice of a dessert on the house, so we picked the Hula pie of course! Thank you Jake’s for making our day special.More infoJake's Del MarPrice: Moderate• American• Del Mar•4.8

Today I celebrated my birthday there and we all had a blast. Our server, Jenna, was amazing as was the rest of the staff. And we all loved our food.More infoWaverly Restaurant & LoungePrice: Expensive• American• Encinitas•4.7

Because of that, I had an amazing margarita (The Tamarindo!) and delicious meal.
