Best American Restaurants in New Albany

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff. You truly made my fiancée and I’s night unforgettable. The romantic ambiance was incredibly warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special evening. Although I can’t recall the names of my server and the hostess—who I believe was the lovely blonde lady in the rose shirt—I want you to know how much their efforts meant to us. I was so touched when she reached out earlier in the week to confirm our reservation and to inquire about how I planned to surprise my fiancée with the earrings. Knowing how anxious I was about the entire plan, it meant the world to have such thoughtful support from the team. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our night was memorable, and it absolutely was! Our server was fantastic as well. He really knew the menu inside and out, providing wonderful suggestions to help us navigate our first experience at the restaurant. We are already looking forward to making another reservation because this place has quickly become our favorite, even surpassing Hyde Park downtown in our eyes. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for creating such a calming and beautiful atmosphere for our Valentine’s Day dinner. We can’t wait to return soon! - Nathan H.

Amazing! From the time we walked in the door, until we left, it was amazing. We come every Valentine’s Day to enjoy a great dinner. Never disappointed! We live 30+ minutes, but Cap City is well worth the drive. The dinner was delicious. Thank you to the Management, front desk staff, our server, cooks and cleanup for the great experience. We’ll be back!!

Our experience was exceptional. Our server, John, was both pleasant and highly knowledgeable about the evening’s specials. While the prime rib was a bit grainy, John promptly addressed the issue and replaced it with a higher-quality steak, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend Hudson29, New Albany!

Excellent meal, excellent service. We were seated in a timely fashion. The server was very personable. Food was served hot and cooked to order. The only issue was the desert. We ordered Key Lime pie. The crust was so hard it was nearly impossible to cut off a bite with the provided spoon. The key lime filling was a whipped cream consistency with a very distinctive aftertaste. My wife, as well as I, only took a single bite. The server noticed and offered to remove it from the bill.

Great as usual. Only complaint is they started using garlic seasoning for their fries some months ago and still are. The new seasoning is not for me. The way they seasoned the fries before I always told people they had the best fries I have ever had.
