Best American Restaurants in Plano

Food would have received 5 stars but one steak came out undercooked. Other than that minor thing, the food and service was excellent. Don’t love the dining room compared to some other area steakhouses, but it was fine. It was bustling due to it being Valentine’s Day… I liked how they had a holiday pre-set menu but also allowed you to order off of the regular dinner menu. Great wine selection and the pre-dinner martini was perfect. Loved our waiter and the manager came over to check on us.

From start to finish all was excellent. We arrive a bit early for our 5:30 reservation and were seated right away. The menu was very good for my wife and I. Perry's has a special selection for those over 65. $39 per person with a good selection of the three courses. Their bread was warm and tasty. The Lobster Bisque was exceptionally good. The cup was more than enough with a nice chunk of Lobster in it. The filet for my wife was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The steak came on a hot plate. My Fried shrimp was excellent on top of a large mound of French fries. The three sauces that were served with the fries added to the flavors. We added on the Asparagus as an additional side. Deserts were Creme Brule and Cheesecake. My wife opted for a glass of Perry's house Rose - perfect match for her steak. The restaurant was nicely laid out. The wine racks were over 10 feet high and contained many bottles of their finest wines. We were served by Katlyn. A beautiful young lady that was very attentive to our needs. Thank you Perry's for a wonderful pre Valentines dinner. Worth it - YES. We'll be back. Tom

A Cut Above- CraftWay Kitchen Plano Delivers a Superb Experience From the moment you step inside CraftWay Kitchen you know you're in for a treat. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and refined. Think classic tavern charm – warm wooden floors, engaging chalkboards showcasing daily specials, and a lively bar scene – elevated with an upscale touch. It's a space that feels both welcoming and special. The service was truly top-notch. Our server, Justin, was attentive, genuinely kind, and remarkably knowledgeable about the menu. He guided us through the varied options with professionalism and offered insightful recommendations. Although the restaurant was full, the acoustics were excellent, allowing for comfortable conversation without the overwhelming din (people talking, music, dishes clanking) often found in popular spots. Speaking of options, the menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, ensuring there's something to please every palate. The food was delicious, and the quality clearly reflects the care and attention put into each plate. Craftway Kitchen offers a unique experience. It's like stepping into a sophisticated tavern where the food is exceptional, the service impeccable, and the ambiance is just right. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Haywire Plano. We came on a Tuesday and was surprised to how busy it was, but that was no concern as we had reservations in place and we're seated pretty swiftly. For our starter we had the mini Elk tacos which were pretty good. For the main course I ordered the 18oz Angus Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye with a side of the White cheddar havarti mac&cheese and Tallow fries. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. My wife ordered the Texas farm raised red fish which came with jumbo lump crab&rock shrimp, spicy lemon zydeco sauce, whipped potatoes and a frisée citrus salad. Per my wife it was an amazing meal. When we go back I'll be trying the 33oz Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye.

This is restaurant a neighborhood gem. The service is great, food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. We could not have asked for a better experience with our friends. It was their first time eating at Mah-Jong and they loved it!
