Buddakan is a great place to have a group dinner. The tasting menu is the way to go for a large group. For $100 a person you get a lot of food and a great selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The downstairs section is very well decorated and has a nice ambience. The only complaint was that it took forever to get us seated. We had a reservation at 8:15 and did not get seated until 8:45. Otherwise it was a good experience. The service was also relatively quick.

The food was excellent. The pictures of the dining room are of the upstairs. No one was being seated there. They say us in the back of the downstairs overlooking the open kitchen, which was nothing to see. I would recommend with the caveat of upstair seating or at the very least, the front of the restaurant by the bar which was also pretty, but the upstairs is gorgeous
