This was my first visit and it was a very good experience. I was there for lunch with a friend and sitting at the bar. Great atmosphere. Very friendly and well trained staff. I ordered the Croque Monsieur and my friend had the Tuna Sandwich. The Croque Monsieur with the combination of ingredients along with the bread was wonderful. My friend has the tuna sandwich which was good but very difficult to eat due to the size of the bread it was served on.

Always a delight to have dinner at Mathilde's French Bistrot. My French-Canadian family was impressed and Lena, the owner and restaurateur, was warm and welcoming. The steak frites was cooked just right, and my parents enjoyed their Halibut and Duck confit. The risotto exploded with flavor when my wife shared a taste with me. The ambience in either the patio or main dining room is pleasant, roomy enough to give a sense of privacy to each table/party, and we could talk to each other without having to raise our voices since the playlist of French chansons acted as pleasant accompaniment rather than loud headliner. I highly recommend you have a meal there before it closes for good on 12/31/2024. Sad to see them go...

Our first luxury dinner at a hotel restaurant was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff friendly, and the dishes delicious. While it was slightly expensive, it was well worth it for the overall experience.
