Unfortunately my order of an extra immunity smoothie got forgotten and the Aircon was put on on the request of the middle table guests (6 people) who were wearing their coats and jackets while eating 🤔 making us freezing cold for our dessert. 😔More infoThe Ivy Oxford BrasseriePrice: Moderate• Contemporary British• Oxford•4.5

- MMatthewVIPCheshire •7 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoBooked as a Christmas treat as a romantic evening and the Cross delivered, absolutely on point with everything. The location is unassuming from the outside but is beautiful once you enter. Plenty of space for pre drinks before you enter the dining room. Whilst the dining room is intimate, you aren’t sat too close to other tables which tends to leave you feeling awkward in some fine dining establishments. The service was excellent with fantastic attention to detail. Before we ordered from the three course A là Carte, the Amuse-bouche and bread shared by the kitchen were both an absolute treat. The December menu that we were lucky enough to select from was outstanding. The duck egg for starters was a particular treat and we both had the fillet of beef cooked over coals - all elements outstanding with particular praise to the tartlet of beef check, perfectly executed. The deserts, we choose the Hazelnut praline Soufflé and the black forest gateau. I loved both but note the gateau packs a punch with its flavour, again something that was fantastic for me but could be a little too sweet/sour for others. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Cross which I believe, was excellent value for money.More infoThe Cross at KenilworthPrice: Very Expensive• British• Kenilworth•4.8
