Outstanding food, service, electric atmosphere can’t rave about it enough would recommend the ivy to anybody so so good

Absolutely stunning food & ambience. The staff at the bar were very attentive, though we didn't really appreciate a £10 service charge for a bottle of champagne we bought at the bar to take away...that was a bit cheeky! However, we still think we would like to return, & maybe stay over rather than just have a meal.

On a cold and rainy night in pre-Christmas York, we were glad to be able to secure a table for two. We read the menu and thought we would try the Monday night burger offer. The food exceeded our expectations by a mile. The quality was fantastic, the food piping hot, the service very good considering how busy it was with Christmas visitors. The surroundings so relaxed and comfortable we just had to stay for a lovely pud, a totally fab cheesecake with pear poached in mulled wine, a total showstopper! 😋 Altogether a lovely experience and only five minutes dash back to our hotel in the rain. Would definitely visit again.

This was our first visit and we booked again as we left. Absolutely fantastic in all respects. The staff are attentive, polite and very good at their jobs. The food was wonderful. We had the set lunch menu and couldn't fault it The food served was beautifully presented, a good portion and hot! We travelled a hour to get here and can't wait to visit again.
