Best Cafés in Malden

Overall a great experience! Such a cute cafe with a nice bright décor- made me long for spring. Service was great, friendly and prompt. The teas were lovely, a good selection without feeling overwhelmed. The only thing a little lackluster were the scones. We had a plain flavor and “seasonal”. Both were blah- the clotted cream and jam saved them for sure. Will be back and recommend to everyone. Can’t wait to try the patio space.

We had the most wonderful dinner at Café Saint Germain! From the moment we walked in, the cozy vibe immediately made us feel at home. We kicked things off with the salmon fumee and escargot, and both were incredible. Especially the escargot which was rich, garlicky, and buttery—absolutely perfect. For the main course, I had the coq au vin, and it was better than I had in Paris when I used to live there while I studied abroad. It was so tender, and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got the bœuf bourguignon, and it was equally amazing—fall-apart tender beef and that classic deep, rich flavor you hope for. Can’t believe this place is right by my house. What really impressed me, though, was the wine list. It was clear a lot of thought went into it, with some really great options to pair with the dishes. We were suggested by our server the perfect wine for our meal, and it just rounded everything out so well. All in all, this place really nailed it, service was top notch, and I can’t wait to go back! It’s definitely my new favorite spot for French food.

Food and service were good, but a bit spotty - had to ask for milk with my coffee, forks for our starter, etc. it was very loud, but I found it sort of off putting that there was a clear box of supplies behind our table near the expo line. Right on top was a box of sticky mouse traps. I obviously know most restaurants use mouse traps but I don’t need to see them out in the open when I’m eating brunch.

We love Daniella’s. It’s great food and ambience. We continuously come here for date nights. We love to sit at the bar and chat. We often get the Sporko for a cocktail. Their espresso martinis are also delish. The Manhattans are good, but they are strong. For food we love the tenderloin and mushroom risotto. Probably the best thing on the menu. Also love the bolognese and chicken & broccoli. All the desserts are phenomenal.

What a lovely place. The tea was perfect. The food was delicious. The decor was pleasing. And the owner was so accommodating and pleasant. We will return!
