- CChristineSeattle / Eastern Washington •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMy husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine's Day at Communion, and it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to OpenTable's 'Notify Me' feature, we secured a last-minute reservation, setting the stage for a perfect evening. Our server, Christina, recommended the pork chop—a dish I don't usually prefer. However, it was a revelation: juicy, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by a harmonious blend of sauces. As someone who has won first place in a Michelin-star cooking competition among friends, I can confidently say this dish was exceptional. Christina's attentive service and warm demeanor enhanced our evening, making our Valentine's celebration truly special. Communion is a gem in Seattle's dining scene, and we look forward to our next visit.More infoCOMMUNIONPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Southern• Downtown•4.6
- CCamillaVIPSeattle / Eastern Washington •24 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoThe menu here is varied and has several highlights depending on your tastes. They also have an interesting cocktail list but the wine by the glass is very limited. It's not obvious how to pick dishes off the menu regarding portion size and does not follow the traditional style . However sharing plates and mix and match gives this style something different. The drinks were very slow to be served and one main course not to our liking was removed from the final check. We were also informed on arrival that our table was for two hours only. That was a surprise and maybe that's enough time for some but we like to take our time over dinner and a $500+ bill. Overall it was good and we will return.More infoBottle & BullPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Kirkland•4.7

- VVirginiaSeattle / Eastern Washington •13 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoTwo of us had lunch at Allister. It was a very cold day and I had arrived early to find the doors locked. But ... the hostess saw me and let me in early so that I would not have to wait outside in the cold. That level of consideration was typical of the service we received throughout. We talked quite a bit after we had finiished our food and no attempt was made to rush us out. The food was good and arrived quite quickly. The only drawback to the restaurant is the noise level. Once the restaurant fillls up it can be hard to hear your table companion.More infoAllisterPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Mercer Island•4.5
- JJonVIPPortland / Oregon •6 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 7, 2024I would refer to this as a bar not a restaurant. There was only a bartender working and had no idea people could reserve a table. No hostess, no waiters for dinner people. But, the bartender did the best he could and the food was really good. The cooks did a great job. Maybe they were short staffed. For a drink and some food great but for a nice sit down dinner then a big NOMore infoAmuse Bar + RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Bellevue•3.7
