The carpaccio was very delicate, not too much cheese so the steak was able to shine. The lobster bisque was so yummy. But the star of the night was the lobster carbonara. OMG. I have been dreaming about this dish. Truly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We live 2.5 hours from Newport, but I will make the drive just for this dish. The drinks were also amazing. Unique cocktails for sure. Service was also a 5/5. I highly recommend Jo's American Bistro and cannot wait to be back. The ambience was really quite relaxing and beautiful. The illumination of all the candles against the windows overlooking the ocean was just divine. There were many wonderful choices for entrees on the menu, however, my husband and I each had the evening's dinner specials which were excellent. I had the pasta dinner special (linguine with lobster, shrimp and scallops in a light ginger cream sauce) and my husband had the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and haricot verts (french green beans).
