Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Putney

The Rotunda is delightful. It's old-charm in a modern setting, nostalgic for its past but decidedly modern and hip. The light that comes through the windows is cheerful and the waitstaff nothing but classy. The booth-like seating is comfy and decor is pleasant. I had the rockfish sandwich for lunch and devoured every saucy bite of it. Reserve a table in advance -- dropping in will be a long wait. It's a great place to do lunch on union square!

These are innovative, awake and aware professionals. The original energy and spirit of the restaurant are alive and evolving. Service: Excellent. Food: Excellent. Food was terrific, wait staff terrific, nice holiday atmosphere and easy parking. All great for a high quality family dining experience. The downside is we were there 3 hours as it took about an hour after first course salads and sides to get the main course, then a long time for desert. Happily since salads and sides came fairly quickly we were not starving and no one was in a hurry. They were not packed, a bit busy. My guess is they are short kitchen staffing.

Great service, casual vibe but energetic, the food is fantastic! So delicious, beautiful, creative. Just finished. My leftovers tonight. Will definitely be back.
