The ambiance of the Hotel Emma where the restaurant is located cannot be topped in San Antonio.More infoSupperPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.6

It's hard for me to pass up the lamb chops they are so good. This time the veal?/wine reduction sauce (my favorite part) kinda got all soaked up by the grits which were surprisingly a bit dry. I could drink that sauce! Of course we got the wild game packets for appetizer (always) and so good, fresh perfect leaves of radicchio and Bibb lettuce wrapped around delightfully seasoned ground game meat. And of course the bread basket a must, the 3 breads all are great, hard to pick a fav. My partner had the Prix fixe menu which unfortunately for him had subbed out his choice of beef tips with short rib roast which was not trimmed to his liking (fatty surround). The romaine Caesar salad choice was ok, the cheesecake desert so good (oh that caramel sauce!!!) and his wine pairings were also very good, especially the sauterne dessert wine that we had to go out and buy a bottle after! You cannot get better service anywhere than Bigas, and the corner two top table by the window with river view at Christmas, we just can't go anywhere else!More infoBiga on the BanksPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.9
- JJerryVIPSan Antonio •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoRestaurant Claudine is a charming dining spot set in an old house, giving it a cozy, intimate atmosphere with several rooms to enjoy your meal. The food was absolutely amazing—my Steak and Frites was perfectly cooked, and my wife’s Halibut was a standout dish as well. I appreciate that their menu changes frequently, offering a fresh experience each visit. The only drawback was the acoustics. With so many hard surfaces and the lively energy of people talking and laughing, it was quite noisy, making it difficult to hear the server explain the menu items. Overall, if you’re seeking exceptional food in a unique setting, Restaurant Claudine is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a vibrant, bustling ambiance!More infoRestaurant ClaudinePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.5
- MMichaelSan Antonio •25 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoLet me begin by saying that we have been At Savor at least 5 times before. Obviously, we would not continue to go if we had bad experiences there. Quite the opposite the students and also the professors are extremely helpful. They always know the ingredients, how things were prepared, why they made the choices they made and so forth. The staff is more helpful than any staff at any other restaurant I have ever been at. The food is very creative and the portions are the right sizes. I find that many restaurants try to make it up for average quality with and excessive heaping plate full of food. Now clearly you do not get all this inexpensively. It is not unusual to $100 per person, 4 courses and paired wines.More infoSavor The Culinary Institute of AmericaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.9
