Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Simpsonville

After having the She Crab soup a couple of weeks ago, I’ve thought of nothing else but returning for more! It’s just an incredible, perfectly-balanced dish. It’s truly one of the best things I’ve had! The service was also flawless! Our server knew every dish and special and answered our questions with ease. The Brussels appetizer is a can’t miss! Savory Brussels, salty ham, creamy whipped goat cheese and a drizzle of hot honey. I also ordered the chopped salad with chicken added. While the chicken was shockingly delicious, the salad was meh. Flavorless and boring. After being in Greenville only a month, Soby’s is at the top of my list for favorite restaurant!

Today's reservation was for 11:30a. We were provided with both a Breakfast menu as well as a lunch/dinner (Main) menu. And we were also given a small menu sheet of Select Custom classics (not sure of it's exact name), which had a bunch of their signature meals on it. We chose to have breakfast -- food was great, the lattes were delicious, and Lillie, our waitress, was a pleasure, as always. We do request her section each time we make a reservation and they've never ignored that request. We might live over an hour and a half away from Greer now, but Select is always worth the trip - and we do it frequently :)

The GM Danny was very accommodating & professional to assist us with finding the perfect table. Austin our waiter was attentive & knowledgeable. The chicken special was a local fav and the grouper was cooked perfect. The hollandaise sauce was outstanding. The signature cocktails are definitely worth a try… That was our 1st visit to Blue Heron and we already plan to return next week. 5-stars 🌟. 

Reservations were achieved painlessly. Parking there can often be challenging. Staff and waiter were all very friendly and helpful. Service was appropriately prompt—without feeling rushed. Entrees were wonderful. A perfect Valentine’s Day choice.

Great service and great food! Our server was very attentive and the food was excellent, to be honest we were surprised by the quality and the overall atmosphere. One of the best new restaurants in Greenville. We have older standbys, but will definitely be putting DPC in our rotation. Steak special was perfectly prepared, cocktails were well executed, others raved about the Salmon. Thanks for the hospitality!
