Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Tenafly

I came with a friend for lunch during the week. I started with a Bloody Mary which was perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve had it here before. I got their salmon with lentils. I’ve gotten it before as well and I absolutely loved it. It was perfectly cooked. I asked for some bread and they brought two delicious hot rolls with butter. Yummy. I finished with a latte and it was also excellent. The food was absolutely excellent. The service also was excellent. We had a very pleasant friendly young female waitress.

First time here and loved it. Food was excellent, atmosphere was bright and lively. Mr Stern made a point of coming around to each table to see how we were doing. Honored our reservation on time. Loved the little touch of putting a tiny light in each drink to make them glow. Brunch menu had a wonderful assortment to choose from. Only down side…slightly pricey for the amount of food you get. But I do understand food prices are out of control. And it was noisy, we sat next to a birthday party of ladies that certainly enjoyed themselves. Not the restaurants fault, just made it difficult to carry on a conversation. We would definitely return.

Unfortunately We had requested on open table and by phone our special table we sit at and they gave it to someone who had not made a reservation

Our group of six were seated at a charming corner table at the Hudson Garden Grill located at the New York Botanical Garden,. This allowed for friendly conversation to flow. The wait staff were helpful, welcoming, and attentive. We each had different eating needs ranging from vegan to meat lover and found something delicious to enjoy. This was the perfect place to dine, following our visit to the orchid show on a chilly day.

My husband and I come here every year. Our server Myrene was amazing. We also have had Marissa she’s amazing as well. Love the vibe and the service. It feels like home. Will definitely come back ❤️
