Best Contemporary European Restaurants in St. Lawrence Market

DELICIOUS!! we did the 3 course tasting menu and added on the wagu steak and it ended up being our favourite! The fish dish was a bit bland but everything else was so fresh and tasty! Our server was wonderful!

Donna’s is quite simply the greatest spot to eat in the city. The Sunday roast was the perfect treat on a snowstormy Sunday, but any day, any meal, any item, it’s all the best.

We were given a table next to a window on a snowy day for Sunday brunch, one of the best seats in the house. The service and food was excellent, and the two person band played appropriatel music that never drowned out conversation. Great experience overall!

My wife and I are regular patrons of Sorrel. We order six plates to share right through to dessert to maximize our culinary experience. One dish we deem a must is the lobster ravioli. We added grilled calamari and scallop ceviche as our appetizers. Our mains were two go to dishes, salmon and hangar steak. We ended the meal with duo sorbet of passion fruit and strawberry. Couple these dishes with attentive service and an hour and a half later we were smiling from ear to ear and heading home thoroughly satisfied with yet another excellent Sorrel dining experience. With so many restaurants in the city, very few reasons for repeat visits to one particular place but would definitely go back here for the wagyu beef tartare. It was so uniquely flavourful, I can’t remember tasting anything else like that anywhere else. The Iberico pork, the crudo and the duck papardelle were good although couldn’t really taste any foie gras. The service was excellent so that makes up for any shortcomings (which were very few). Definite must try
