Best Contemporary French American Restaurants in Moraga

Such a treat to dine here! We enjoyed a 4 course and a 3 course tasting menu. Every dish exquisite in flavor, balance and presentation. Service exceptional: professional yet friendly, and accommodating. A fabulous experience. One glitch when we arrived which was puzzeling. I showed them our opentable confirmed reservation sent by Open Table but our name was nowhere to be found on the resturant's reservation list for that evening. Instead it was on the resturant's list for 1/19/25 @ 5 pm. Weird. The restaurant accommodated us anyway, even without a reservation listed. This was easy for them as our reservation was very early @ 5 pm. There may not have been such a happy ending if we happened to plan to dine during peak hours. And we were celebrating a very special 75th Birthday!

I used to go there before Covid then it was closed for a long time. I went back yesterday for a business dinner and they have not lost a beat. Food and service were still top notch in San Francisco. Great variety of greens and sea foods with a few meat options. I had the sea scallops and the sea bass and they melted in your mouth

Excellent wine, food & service. Had nice seats by a fire pit looking out at the vineyard. What else could you want on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!

This was our second time at Commis we sat the bar and had the pre fix with wine pairing! It was amazingly delicious and the service as always was excellent. We enjoyed trying the new items on the menu and some old favorites. If you are looking for a unique dinning experience look no further.

We were back to Commis after 8 years and it did not disappoint! Great, state of art food! We will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner!
