- AAmyPortland / Oregon •19 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe restaurant was great, the food was good. The Green Curry (with shrimp, not tofu) was outstanding. The disappointing aspect was the waiter, he was great until the bill came and he on purpose did not add the tip we asked him to, and instead wanted cash. He refused to cancel the credit card bill and add the tip. I've never had this happen before, it was disappointing and made me wonder about going back to a restaurant I have been to several times.More infoHector's KitchenPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Punta de Mita•4.6
- RRichardVIPPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI made this reservation for my cousin and his wife that were visiting PV. It is one of our favorite places when we are there, and wanted them to try it. I also purchased a gift card for them to use, and the staff there was great about presenting it to them when they arrived. They had a wonderful time and loved every bit of it! Thank you to the staff for making this work!More infoThe Iguana Restaurant & Tequila BarPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Puerto Vallarta•4.9
- OTOpenTable DinerCharlotte •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe walked by the restaurant (La Casa) last week while exploring Bucerias. After discovering it was a Thierry Blouet (via daughter Vanessa) and had just opened recently, we had to try it out. Having dinned at Café des Artistes in PV, in the past, our expectations were high. Vanessa and staff (Gabriel and Daniel were our primary table hosts) were fantastic! Gabriel was a pleasure and talked through the menu with us effortlessly and with genuine pride. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed yet upscale while maintaining that "at home" feeling. You could feel Vanessa's creative side flowing through the many flavors we tasted. The mussels were fantastic, the broth worthy of a second loaf of bread to dip. The ratatouille is a must. The oysters with candied leek and buttery air are an example of her unique combinations that tickle the palate. The onion tart is bursting with flavors. The arugula lemon capers side dish (presented like a sharable salad) was refreshing and delightful. The char-grilled red snapper was a beautiful presentation, and the sauce served with it is a must-have combination. The sucking pig melted in your mouth with a sweet potato purée and sauce that blended together perfectly. The pear tart was a warm finish, and the chocolate flan with the rice cloud provided the perfect finish to complement the meal. Overall, the evening was a dining experience we will chalk up as one of our favorites in the 30 years we have been coming to Puerto Vallarta - Nuevo Vallarta - Bucerias area. Props to Vanessa and staff! La Casa is a must visit up scale dining experience in the quaint Bucerias local. - JJenniferVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 15, 2024I recently had the pleasure of dining at here, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. As someone who appreciates authentic Northern Mexican cuisine, this place truly delivers. First, the food – absolutely delicious. The carne asada tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the tortillas were fresh and soft. I also tried the pork which was tender and full of flavor, a dish you don't often see in many places. Their salsa was a fantastic touch, with a variety of salsas that ranged from mild to fiery, each one packing its own unique flavor profile. What really sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family. They were welcoming, attentive, and more than happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. Our server, David and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, checking in regularly to make sure everything was to our liking. The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, it’s clear that a lot of care goes into making the space comfortable and cozy. If you’re looking for an authentic Northern Mexican food experience, I highly recommend venzau! I’ll definitely be back for more of their mouthwatering dishes and amazing hospitality!More infoVenazúPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Punta de Mita•4.5
