Just a tip: put blinds on the windows. I ate most of my meal with the sun in my eyes. Oh, the brunch cocktails were delicious as well, especially the peanut butter bliss!More infoCozy's Cafe and PubPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Liberty Township•4.7

- AAndrewVIPCincinnati / Dayton •27 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis is my 2nd visit to Alcove. They do a great job of making great food without being pretentious. The menu is varied in that you can spend a little more money, but also have a tasty sandwiches. This meal pleased all - dad with steak frites (a perfect med rare!), massive chicken sandwich and cod sandwiches for the kids, and a lovely chicken with pumpkin gnocchi for the Mrs. These were enjoyed by all. Dessert was cheesecake and chocolate cake were very good and just the right size. I don't want to forget about the "... by MadTree" part - the drinks and cocktails are anchored by MadTree craft beer as well as Sway. I went with the classic Identity Crisis and Holly Days. The kids loved their mocktails. The cocktail look great and perhaps next time I will venture that way.More infoAlcove by MadTreePrice: Moderate• American• Cincinnati•4.7
- JJayVIPCincinnati / Dayton •8 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFirst time eating at this fascinating restaurant with a really excellent view that is different from most Cincinnati Riverside views. Great outdoor and indoor venue at this 7th floor rooftop setting. Unique cooking system with a complete wood-burning grill centered in the dining room, I walked up to look at the fire and the engineering for the immense grill/oven. There is an enticing, smoky aroma in the restaurant when you first enter. If smoke bothers you then what the heck are you doing coming to this restaurant? Because all of the food tastes absolutely wonderful imbued as it is in that incredible white oak, cherry, apple and pear wood smoke. I would get an appetizer or a side rather than the dessert, because the mushrooms were lovely though with a tart taste that I’m not used to having.. That melded with the smoke did make them very memorable. We also tried the crab/scallop/cheddar cheese, dip. Paired with large brioche style bread, freshly toasted of course, which I actually saw them do over the coals. Cheddar and shellfish, who knew? My barbacoa style short rib with sweet potato, tomatillos and quest fresco was a smoky deliciousness. My wife’s chicken was moist with crispy skin. My daughters duck did not stay on the table long enough for me to examine. It was great I’m told. Every morsel of meat had that smoky undertone. Fascinatingly enough the mushrooms stood the smokiest. Will definitely come back, with friends to smell, eat and gaze at the view. Half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays!!More infoOpal RooftopPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Cincinnati•4.7
- TTom and CelesteCincinnati / Dayton •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWe had lunch reservations for our 47th anniversary. We were immediately seated on arrival, and promptly greeted by our server Mark. He was happy to be part of our celebration, and shared his favorite recommendations on the menu. So many choices! We had spaghetti with Sunday Sauce, butternut squash ravioli, veal cutlets, salad wedge, freshly baked bread, and of course, wine. Everything was delicious. Thanks for making our anniversary a special day! We will definitely be back. T & C LaneMore infoPepp & DoloresPrice: Moderate• Italian• Over the Rhine•4.9
