Cathy Ortega & Gerald Aquintey didn't know what to expect after finally opening up a Filipino small grocery & takeout joint together. The shop was doing great but they wanted to do more. They wanted to give Toronto a much more authentic Filipino taste and experience without the price of a flight to the Philippines. Kamayan / Boodle Fight (the formality of eating with your hands) was the obvious solution.

Chef Danny and Jordan took great care of us with the Chef's Counter experience. Filipino inspired plates were presented in front of us course after course, timed to perfection. Each course was well explained by the chef with where the inspiration came from. Their entire team had our notes downs, and knew exactly what we were celebrating that night and catered the experience to our taste and preference. The hospitality that was present from start to finish was from the service to the kitchen was impeccable. On a side note, they do change their menu, and ingredients quite often! My fiance and I are already planning our next trip back, likely visiting their bar to enjoy some of their cocktails and a la carte offerings from their menu! Extremely approachable and innovative experience! Highly recommend!

We (Niece & I ) went around lunch had a 12:15 reservation got there 15 mins early and just asked if we could just sit at any spot lady said yes, it was cold outside early November weather hence why we just asked to be seated earlier we chose a seat & waited a good time before anyone came to us it wasn’t busy as others showed up after us got served first. We ordered The Kamayan Feast as usual w/ extra okra & 2 Green teas everything was great just a little lacking service with people coming to check to see if we needed anything and a few times we did needed either extra water &/or napkins and it was a little inconvenient to find someone to get there attention to get these things .. maybe I’m thinking low staff 🤷🏻‍♀️ all & all will keep coming back to this location as it isn’t our first times it’s close to home like 5-10 mins walk :) I just think they should give you more napkins for such a messy meal they use to give you a big roll of paper towels at each table that I found was much more handier than having to ask for thin napkins :)

First time trying Filipino food and I'll definitely come back!! Love the garlic rice sooo much and all the grilled meat & seafood. The experience of having them setup the dishes on top of banana leaves on the table is so unique and fascinating.

Love this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious. Great list of cocktails and mocktails. Best part is, during dinner, diners (and staff) can participate in karaoke right at their table. Makes for a really fun and unique experience. Different diners from opposite ends of the restaurant would partake in a duet..Had a great time! Oh, and the desserts were amazing
