Best French Restaurants in Astoria

Sat at the bar. Service excellent. Approached quickly, drink order taken, delivered quickly. Given time to enjoy the cocktail then approached again greeted warmly and given order with a number of requests. Food delivered and all extras were included. Hot food hot cold cold. Very enjoyable evening.

What an amazing experience for our first Christmas lunch away from home in Australia. The staff were so friendly and accomodating even on Christmas Day! I never write reviews, but this place - the food, the service, the staff, the setting, even down to the lovely bathrooms. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Quality Bistro - we will certainly never forget this Christmas.

This is my 2nd time here. I made reservations weeks ahead of time due to the holiday. I was only able to get outside lobby area. Upon arrival I asked if anything was available inside and they had high top bar seating available at their “seafood bar”. I was with my friend and our daughters under twenty one. Since it was freezing they wanted the inside. We had no trouble talking and the view from this spot was nice. Our server Dorji was EXCELLENT. He was very attentive to our needs and made great suggestions on drinks. We decided on the espresso martini and it was perfect. Our arrival was before 6 so the prix fix was available and you definitely get a lot for your money. The salad was okay but the French onion soup was wonderful and really hit the spot on a cold day. Two of us had the coq au vin and that was delicious. My friend had the steak and was happy. My daughter ordered the NY strip off the regular menu. She loved the fries, enjoyed the steak but said the cut was a little tough. We had crème brûlée which was a wonderful way to end the meal. The location of the restaurant is perfect if you are in town for the holidays. The place was decorated beautifully as well.

I am not a restaurant critic, not by a long shot, but I think the dinner was delicious, the service very very good, and the noise level reasonable.

Cute spot to grab drinks to catch up with a friend. Friendly staff convenient location. Solid food options and good happy hour prices.
