What a lovely Christmas dinner! The food is always dependably delicious, beautifully plated, and served with warmth and genuine attention to detail. I never tire of eating here. Hidden on a small side street and tucked back a bit from the sidewalk, it escapes the notice of passersbys strolling on First Avenue. Almost like a speakeasy, you have to “know” to go there. I almost want to keep this place to myself but it is such a gem and deserves to be recognized as one of the best restaurants in NYC, not just on the UES.

What an amazing experience for our first Christmas lunch away from home in Australia. The staff were so friendly and accomodating even on Christmas Day! I never write reviews, but this place - the food, the service, the staff, the setting, even down to the lovely bathrooms. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Quality Bistro - we will certainly never forget this Christmas.

My first visit to La Grande Boucherie was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hostess greeted us warmly, wished me a happy birthday, and escorted us to a gorgeous balcony table with a stunning view of the restaurant. The service was impeccable, and the food and drinks were nothing short of spectacular. To start, we enjoyed the wagyu carpaccio and French onion soup (both were exceptional). For our entrées, we ordered the Filet De Boeuf and the Boucherie Burger, each cooked to perfection. To top off the evening, we got crème brûlée, complete with a candle to celebrate my birthday. The thoughtful details and incredible dining experience made this a night to remember! :)

I am not a restaurant critic, not by a long shot, but I think the dinner was delicious, the service very very good, and the noise level reasonable.
