- JJamesSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoWas there on New Years Day at 1 pm. Perhaps the best Omelet I have ever had (has Raclette cheese inside). We sat at the bar. I recommend the bar for the "ambience."More infoBon DelirePrice: Expensive• French• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7
- RRobertSan Francisco Bay Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis French restaurant, at the corner of Primrose and Chapin Aves in Burlingame, is well worth a 5-star rating on all counts. Modern, yet subtle, decor, unobtrusive period music in the background, excellent and varied selections, ample portions, and fantastic service provide a reason to return time and time again. Our party of three enjoyed the rack of lamb, the lobster ravioli, and the cassoulet. Each dish showed the attention and skills of a master chef. In addition to a la carte choices, they offer a prix fixe menu at $65 that provides an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert, with no menu exceptions, for this very sensible price. The restaurant offers a broad selection of wines and beer but does not have a full bar so anyone in need of a cocktail before dinner may feel temporary disappointment. Nonetheless, Chou Chou is fine dining!More infoChouchou French Bistro BurlingamePrice: Moderate• French• Burlingame•4.6

- SStevenVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe went to this little neighborhood French bistro because we couldn’t get a table at the more popular restaurants like Elena and Khao Tiew in West Portal. To our surprise the food and ambiance were better than either of those hot restaurants. It was a full house by 7:30pm and many of the diners spoke French, which is a good sign of authenticity. We had the ChouChou mussels and baked Brie for appetizers, and they were rich and perfectly served. Then we had the rack of lamb and mushroom soufflé, which were both astonishing good for a neighborhood restaurant. This will be our go-to French restaurant in the future.More infoChou Chou BistroPrice: Moderate• French• Forest Hill / West Portal•4.4
- GGraceVIPHouston •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024RUN to eat here. The best meal I’ve had in SF after 7 years. Better than Quince, Rich Table, Osito, Earnest, Saison. I’m not even kidding and yes, I know those are different cusisines. The food is divine. Authentic French food and service (if they liked Americans).More infoL'ArdoisePrice: Expensive• French• The Castro•4.9
