Cozy, stylish room; attentive, friendly service; delicious food including hearty vegetable soup, wonderful, simply composed salads, and terrific fish and poultry entrees. Large portions and well priced. A lovely experience as a starter for the holiday week!More infoNice MatinPrice: Moderate• French• Upper West Side•4.6

- RRebeccaVIPNew York City •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWhat a cozy, wonderful restaurant! My braised lamb chops and glass of Bordeaux hit the spot on a rainy night in mid-December. Tarte tatin - shared by 3 - was also yummy and nicely presented. The holiday decorations are a very nice touch too, especially during a time when some places are pulling back and cutting costs. I had a very pleasant dining experience; I should frequent this local gem more often.More infoFrench RoastPrice: Moderate• French• Upper West Side•4.6
- DDianeNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe Saddle River Inn is by far the best restaurant in Bergen county. My guests traveled all the way from Brooklyn, NY, and were absolutely in awe of the entire experience. The Christmas holiday decorations adding an extra layer of magic and charm to the already stunning ambiance. The food was perfection—every dish bursting with flavor and plated beautifully. The entire menu was a hit! Even my foodie guests, who are used to Brooklyn’s top dining spots, couldn’t stop raving about it. With the festive decor, cozy-yet-elegant vibe, and next-level cuisine, the Saddle River Inn made our holiday gathering truly unforgettable.More infoThe Saddle River InnPrice: Expensive• French• Saddle River•4.8
- SStevenNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024Outstanding food and service rivaling something you would see in a small French bistro in a quiet arrondissement in Paris. Chef Michael making the rounds added an extra special touch. My wife and I shared the lump crab soufflé and split the Fallen cheese special. The filling was suburb and was finished in a lobster sauce that was like a lighter version of a lobster bisque. The fallen cheese was Brie and goat mixed together with fresh strawberries and a jam. We each had the salmon which was tremendous. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce was absolutely incredible. Perfectly made pearl cous cous with the veggies was a great accompaniment.More infoLatour RestaurantPrice: Expensive• French• Ridgewood, New Jersey•4.8
