- KKatieHouston •7 reviews5.0Dined todayWe booked the Christmas Eve dinner for our family with the set menu choices. For starters we tried the chicken soup and wedge salad. These were excellent. For the main, two of us ordered steak options (filet and ny strip) and were very pleased. We also got the brussel sprouts side, which was great. One of us tried the meatloaf cupcakes and was surprised by the flavor. Somewhat spicy with a fairly strong chili powder taste. I did taste this too and it was a surprise especially since the description didn't mention any tex-mex or southwestern flavor. I find Carve to consistently serve great meals and I can't wait to return.More infoCARVE American Grille - Barton CreekPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• South Austin•4.8

- CCoreyHouston •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoEvery dish and every cocktail was outstanding. Flavor explosions with every bite, well balanced and unique cocktails. Gabby and Rudy took great care of us, George is a true hospitalitarian, and everyone who came to our table was so knowledgeable about the item they were serving. Great restaurant, great staff. Completely understandable why they earned a Michelin star. Run, don’t walk, to your reservation now!More infoHestiaPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.8
- JJohnVIPLondon •55 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 13, 2024Underdog has been named Austin’s Best New Restaurant 2023 and one of Austin’s best restaurants — but it’s still underrated, in my humble opinion. It’s that good. Underdog should be named the the best in Texas, the Southwest, the U.S. Underdog’s food keeps getting better and better. Underdog’s wine program is top notch. Co-owner Richard Hargreave is among the country’s best wine professionals. I’ve been around the block a few times in this department and Richard shows me something new every time I go. All I say is “hey Rich — what should I get?” Spot on. And Underdog’s service team is so sweet. Most have been there since the start — which says a lot about the place. Go now.More infoUnderdogPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Bouldin Creek•4.5
