- AAlexVIPNew York City •22 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAbsolutely loved Makoto. It was our first time since they moved their location up to Level 3 of the Bal Harbour Shops. Super lovely, energetic, and the interior was gorgeous. We started off with the crispy brussels sprouts, which were so delicious that we put in another order. The truffle salmon was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten — it melted in my mouth and they did not skimp on the truffle. The dynamite hand rolls were out of this world, warm and flavorful. The spicy tuna crispy rice had the perfect crunch. Side note: if you like sweet cocktails, get the usagi — the passionfruit notes shined through in this dessert of a drink. The chilled house sake we got was also divine. The rolls were fresh — we ordered the caterpillar roll, the spicy yellowtail roll, rainbow roll, and snow crab maki. My favorites were the snow crab maki and the rainbow roll. We ordered miso seabass and wagyu fried rice for the mains — the miso seabass melted in my mouth, and I loved the mix of citrus and sweet flavors that came through in this dish. When we got to the wagyu fried rice, I was already stuffed, but it was delicious with the egg mixed in. We finished the meal off with the toban yaki, one of the most unique desserts I’ve ever had. It was a cross between a crumble and a sorbet dessert — the flavors were incredible. The service was amazing and we loved our server Helena. 10/10 experience at Makoto and can’t wait to come back!More infoMakoto - Bal HarbourPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Bal Harbour•4.8
- AAyo ACaribbean •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoI am celiac and I felt comfortable ordering food here. The waiter was knowledgeable, and friendly. The sushi was delicious. My husband doesn’t eat fish and he ordered 2 items which he throughly enjoyed. The restaurant seems to be always busy. As soon as a table was emptied it will filled back up again. It did take a little while for our food to arrive as the kitchen was backed up with orders. All and all we had a lovely dinner and the food and service was fantastic.More infoUchi MiamiPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Wynwood•4.7
- DdominiqueMiami - Dade •2 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024When Advertising Golden hour until 8pm, you commit to take order until that time. We arrived at 6pm ordered drinks and food and paid the check around 7:20pm. We decided to hang around some more and ordered 3 prossecos and crispy rice salmon at 7:34pm. The server indicated to us the golden hour was until 7pm. We asked to speak to the manager who hardly speaks English and confirmed despite showing the menu scanned from the table, that he was not allowing for us to take advantage of the specials. After insisting he said “ok I give you another 20 minutes!! We still paid full price on the drinks!!!!! Change your menu and get your people trained on how to make customers happy.More infoSalvajePrice: Expensive• Japanese• Midtown Miami•4.3
